Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar has served a notice to Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani to refrain from taking out any rally during the Prime Minister’s visit as he proposes to do.Geelani has been asked to approach district authorities for permission in case he planned to take out any rally.
The separatist leader has said he would be holding a public rally parallel to that of the Prime Minister on November 7.
As many as 200 people have been rounded up in the Valley by police to “prevent any untoward incident” during the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister.
